Repeat one goal at a time
After each lesson, practise the priority skill in suitable conditions with your supervising driver. Short, focused practice is often more useful than an unfocused long drive.
Reduce pressure, not standards
Begin in quieter conditions, use a familiar route and agree on calm instructions before moving off. Confidence grows from safe, successful repetition.
Train for independence
Do not only memorise a test route. Build consistent observation, speed management, gap selection and decision-making across different roads and conditions.
